Inner Harmony
Welcome to my Bio page!
I've been writing casually for about 25 years now, and I would like to become more serious and focused about my work as a writer.
But I'm sure most people who are reading this want to know more about who I am on a personal level, not hear about goals and ambitions!
I am a 46 year old wife and mother of 3 beautiful boys. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002, which had a huge impact on my life and the lives of my loved ones.
Before being diagnosed with MS, I worked full time as a computer programmer and software project manager for two large and well-known HealthCare companies. I loved my work, and was devestated to leave the workplace. But the transition has turned out to be a blessing for me, as I have had the opportunity that few are allowed, and that is to find out who I really am and enjoy the beauty of both nature and life, and also the joy in family and human connection.
I have a hidden geeky side. I love chess and logic puzzles, and I adore learning new things. I was the one college student that sat in the front row and answered all the questions. Yes, most of the other students thought I was a bit of an oddity.
I love people, and I enjoy writing about a variety of topics that all of experience at some point in our lives. I write about my experiences with MS in order to help others who are newly diagnosed and frightened, but I also love to write fiction and create imaginary worlds. I also really enjoy reading about the experiences of those around me.
I have a guiding principle that every person I meet, every human connection I make, contains within it a unique opportunity to learn. My love of humanity is largely based on the fact that people never cease to amaze and inspire me, with their love, laughter, creativity, successes and failures. We are all here together, trying to figure out what makes our own lives happy and enjoyable, and I strongly believe that we need each other more than most of us want to acknowledge.
I look forward to reading what others here have written, and also sharing my own experiences with others.
Cheers!! See you in the hubs! :)
